Princes Arcade Piccadilly London
In the later part of 2017, Stone Concepts were appointed by Ellmer Construction/Crown Estates to undertake the supply and installation of a new floor, and associated items in the prestigous Princes Arcade in Piccadilly, London.
Our remit ranged from full drafting and drawing responibilites, material sourcing and ultimately installation.
The material selected was Spainish Grey flamed (for slip resistance and durability) and the accent highlights were antique brass.
This project was complex for many reasons, mainly that although not noticeable to most, the arcade substrate has in fact five differing levels. We were also aware that during this busy period before Christmas, the retailers contained within the arcade had to be operational. Works were undertaken at night, and then protected during trading hours.
To the entrance of the arcade Antique Brass CNC and stone were fabricated for the final touch.
The project was completed on time to the clients delight, and whilst still maintaining the historic ethos of this area, and sympathically introducing new elements to merge together.
